The firm is pleased to announce that partner Sylvia Torres-Guillén has been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s coveted “Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys” list for 2022. Each year, the prestigious list recognizes the professional achievements of outstanding minority attorneys in the region by highlighting their milestones and notable contributions to the Los Angeles business community.

Sylvia was recognized for her significant experience in high-profile criminal and civil cases and trials in federal and state, including her handling the first federal prosecution of an internet hate crime case in the country. In addition to emphasizing her nearly two-decade career as a federal public defender, the Business Journal highlighted her dedication to addressing societal inequities in fighting for civil rights and social, racial, environmental, and economic justice for some of the most marginalized and oppressed communities.
