Sean Andrade was recently quoted in Matthew Blake’s The Real Deal Deal article “Whose sale is it anyway? Keller Williams targets former top agent for advertising past deals.” The article discusses whether a former agent of Keller Williams can market past sales at their new brokerage. Jesse Weinberg, a former Keller Williams agent, received a cease and desist letter to stop “advertising properties as being sold by anyone other than Keller Williams Silicon Beach.” According to Sean, “The letter is not credible. He literally cites nothing, no real estate rules, regulations or case law.” Sean goes on to say that even the request to footnote old deals as Keller Williams sales is unreasonable. Sean concludes by saying, “Any professional “advertises past wins,” and there’s nothing in state or federal law that requires real estate agents (or anyone else) to say where those wins took place.”
