Mr. Finley’s practice includes complex commercial litigation, white-collar, employment, insurance coverage disputes, entertainment, products liability cases, and catastrophic personal injury cases.
Mr. Finley has extensive experience litigating complex cases in both federal and state courts. After completing a clerkship with the Supreme Court of Texas under the tutelage of the Honorable Justice Dale Wainwright, Mr. Finley began his legal career at the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins LLP, where he represented Fortune 500 companies including national banks, media companies, oil and gas companies, sports leagues, and consumer product retailers in high-profile consumer class actions, as well as white-collar investigations and environmental litigations, among other matters. He has represented the estate of a pop music megastar with regards to contractual disputes, and individual business owners in partnership, corporate ownership, and trust-related disputes.
TJ Finley graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and earned his law degree from the Duke University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Finley was a Jerome M. Culp, Jr. Scholar and a Counsel for Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) Scholar.
