Maite Colón advises public and private entities navigating complex litigation. With a practice grounded in commercial litigation and insurance coverage disputes, Ms. Colón helps clients resolve high-stakes matters involving contract interpretation, risk allocation, liability, and compliance. She regularly represents clients in both state and federal court and has successfully guided them through discovery, motion practice, and trial strategy with efficiency and focus.
Before joining Andrade González, Ms. Colón represented plaintiffs in consumer protection litigation, where she led case strategy, managed litigation teams, and argued dispositive motions in state and federal court. Her experience on both sides of the “v.” gives her a well-rounded perspective in high-conflict matters.
Ms. Colón also brings international experience to her practice. While working for an international firm, she advised on cross-border energy and infrastructure transactions while practicing abroad. Her work included regulatory due diligence, contract negotiation, and engagement with government stakeholders on major development projects, including a $600 million oil storage terminal. That experience continues to shape her strategic thinking, particularly in matters involving overlapping legal and operational risks.
Clients rely on her for her sound judgment, practical approach, and ability to translate complex legal frameworks into clear, results-driven strategies. Whether in litigation or counseling, Ms. Colón brings a thoughtful, grounded perspective to advancing client goals.
A fluent Spanish speaker and classically trained pianist, Ms. Colón combines precision, creativity, and cross-cultural fluency in every matter she handles.
