She counsels clients on risk management, recovery strategy, and dispute resolution, and contests improper claim denials, delays, and underpayments. Known for her analytical and comprehensive approach, she helps clients minimize exposure and maximize recovery.
Ms. Guzman brings a sophisticated litigation background shaped by years of experience at prominent national law firms representing major insurance and financial services clients. She focused on complex legal matters in the health care sector, such as payor-provider contract disputes and fraudulent billing schemes, as well as business litigation, regulatory investigations, and compliance audits. She coordinated large-scale document productions, supervised review teams, and leveraged her specialized knowledge of e-discovery technologies, namely Relativity, to adeptly manage voluminous discovery through all stages of litigation with precision and efficiency.
Prior to joining Andrade Gonzalez LLP, Ms. Guzman served as an attorney with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission’s Office of International Affairs in Washington, D.C., where she conducted legal reviews of potential enforcement actions and drafted rulemaking proposals. Her combined experience in private practice and federal government service gives her a strategic perspective in advocating for clients and policyholders as they navigate complex disputes.
