Jose R. Nuño graduated from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law where he was a member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. He received his bachelor’s degree from USC in Political Science and American Studies, with a minor in Business Administration.
Mr. Nuño works extensively with the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Complex and Mass Tort Litigation, and Insurance Recovery practice areas. He is familiar with most aspects of insurance coverage disputes including issues with notice and policy interpretation, negotiating claims, and pursuing coverage litigation. Mr. Nuño has also developed a unique expertise in Administrative Law matters, having represented clients in multi-million dollar cases before administrative agencies. He has also advised clients in land-use and real-estate disputes, often developing creative strategies for achieving successful results for his clients while avoiding litigation.
During law school, Mr. Nuño served as a judicial extern for the Honorable S. James Otero in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and also served as a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender’s Office. Before law school, Mr. Nuño worked for several years at the Community Coalition, a local non-profit that specializes in policy work through community organizing.
