Jack A. Reitman graduated from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, and received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, magna cum laude.
Mr. Reitman is a skilled litigator with extensive experience representing corporate and individual clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and real estate litigation matters. He has successfully handled large-scale fraudulent transfer litigation as well as director’s and officer’s litigation. Mr. Reitman’s focus on the “big picture,” never give up attitude, and expertise in all aspects of litigation, have enabled him to recover millions of dollars in assets for his clients.
In one case, Mr. Reitman served as Special Litigation Counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors for Walldesign, Inc., and then its successor, Brian Weiss, Trustee of the Walldesign Liquidation Trust. Uncovering a massive fraudulent transfer scheme by Walldesign’s former owner, Mr. Reitman filed nearly 100 separate lawsuits to recover those fraudulent transfers, resulting in a recovery of more than $9,000,000 for the Liquidation Trust/Estate, which was effectively insolvent when Mr. Reitman was retained.
Mr. Reitman prevailed in a related appellate proceeding (one of more than 12), published as Henry v. Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Walldesign, Inc. (In re Walldesign, Inc.), 872 F.3d 954 (9th Cir. 2017), which is now a leading case on fraudulent transfers in the Ninth Circuit.
